We are delighted to announce that Blake Morrison will be opening the inaugural Poetry In Aldeburgh Festival with a reading from his Suffolk-inspired collection, SHINGLE STREET.
Joining him will be organiser of Coffee-House Poetry at the Troubadour,
Anne-Marie Fyfe reading from her new collection, HOUSE OF SMALL ABSENCES, and some new sea-inspired work from her residency last autumn in The Lookout.

Maura Dooley's eagerly awaited new collection, THE SILVERING, was published in March. We are thrilled to announce that Maura has agreed to read at Poetry In Aldeburgh. She'll be reading on Sunday 6 November in the Jubilee Hall. Come back soon to find out who will be joining her on the stage.
The programme is almost done! We look forward to announcing very soon which poets have been booked. We CAN tell you that there will be 12 main events at the Jubilee Hall with craft talks, magazine launches, Friday afternoon workshops, drawing and poetry sessions in the Peter Pears Gallery and at The Lookout.
....Oh yes, AND we have rented the Garage under the Peter Pears Gallery as a crash pad/hang out/book swap space and have planned open mic sessions given by different poetry groups.
