A writing workshop with Vanessa Gebbie. What to expect? Vanessa explains: "100 years after the Battle of the Somme, take a little time out to walk by the sea, to reflect by the Aldeburgh war memorial, and then to write together. Participants will be free to respond in whatever way they wish to the walk, the memorial, the men of Aldeburgh, and of course to the varied styles and types of poems we will be reading together. Poetry and prose poetry will be encouraged. I don't mind if a few want to respond in prose ... as for some this might be their first time giving 'war writing' a go."
