MAURA DOOLEY is a freelance writer and lectures at Goldsmiths College, University of London. She edited Making for Planet Alice: New Women Poets(1997) and The Honey Gatherers: A Book of Love Poems (2002) for Bloodaxe, and How Novelists Work (2000) for Seren. Her collections include Life Under Water (Bloodaxe, 2008) and Sound Barrier: Poems 1982-2002 (Bloodaxe, 2002), which drew on collections including Explaining Magnetism (1991) and Kissing a Bone (1996), both Poetry Book Society Recommendations. Kissing a Bone was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize and Life Under Water was shortlisted for the T.S. Eliot Prize 2008.

JACK UNDERWOOD was born in Norwich in 1984. He graduated from Norwich School of Art and Design in 2005 and has recently completed a PhD in Creative Writing at Goldsmiths College, where he also teaches English Literature and Creative Writing. He is a librettist, musician and co-edits the anthology series Stop Sharpening Your Knives. He won an Eric Gregory Award in 2007 and was named a Faber New Poet in 2009. His debut pamphlet was published by Faber in October 2009 and his poems also feature in Voice Recognition: 21 poets for the 21st Century from Bloodaxe. He reviews for Ambit and Poetry London. He lives in Hackney.

PAMELA JOHNSON'S poems appear in magazines and anthologies. She’s published 3 novels, Under Construction (Sceptre) and Deep Blue Silence (Sceptre) and most recently, Taking In Water (Blue Door Press), which was supported by an Arts Council Writers’ Award.

She’s previously worked as an independent critic and curator; her writing on contemporary visual art and craft has appeared in journals, broadsheets, gallery publications. She’s curated national touring exhibitions and reviewed for Radio 4’s Kaleidoscope and Front Row. Currently, she’s working on her fourth novel and first poetry collection. She runs the literary website, Words Unlimited, which includes an archive author interviews, and teaches on the MA in Creative & Life Writing, Goldsmiths.
